Guitar Chords ( Dreaming of you )
Band: The Coral
General Guide
( / ) = The timing strokes, which are set to the 'count in' timing for the song ("1,  , 2,  , 1, 2, 3, 4" )
Bars are separated by gaps after every group of 4 strokes.
Chords are lettered over the timing strokes and are to be started or changed near that stroke.
The rhythm is dependant on the type of song and type of beat = straight beat or shuffle
( A ) = Upper Octave
'A' Note

The first song below is for Bass Guitar & the second is for Six String Guitar

Bass
Played in 1st & low 5th pattern (8th & 5th Country Style) (no minor pattern required). There are accents before every other beat (2nd & 4th), sounded like so: | Boom _ | Ba Boom _ | Boom _ | Ba Boom _ |. Every 'Boom' is on the beat exactly and 'Ba' is the accent. This accent is made by muting the 1st note (string) and 'flicking off' just before hitting the 2nd note (string).

GUITAR CHORDS
Guitar rhythm is played on off beats only (played as down beats by playing 8 to the bar instead of 4), that is, in between the main beat below.
It is sounded like so: | _ Da | _ Da | _ Da | Daa | DaDa |.
It is very hard to describe rhythms and beats in written form, that's why it sounds like 'mad talk'. Have fun with it!
